How to Transfer Shares

To transfer shares on Capdesk, you can either:

  1. Go to the Cap table (under Ownership), find the stakeholder (you can use the search bar) then click on the action button (far right with the 3 dots) -> Transfer Shares.
    1. Add buyers’ details - either find stakeholder if they already exist on Capdesk or Add New Buyer instead.
    2. Transfer details - select share class, enter date of purchase, amount of shares and price paid per share.
    3. You can also add notes and comments or upload documents (i.e. proof of purchase).
    4. Save as draft / Publish and notify shareholder

OR

  1. Go the Shares tab (under Ownership) -> Shares (button) -> Transfer Shares.
    1. Add seller: search and select the seller
    2. Add buyers’ details - either find stakeholder if they already exist on Capdesk or Add New Buyer instead.
    3. Transfer details - select share class, enter date of purchase, amount of shares and price paid per share.
    4. You can also add notes and comments or upload documents (i.e. proof of purchase).
    5. Save as draft / Publish and notify shareholder
