This support article details how to exercise your options on Capdesk.
You will need to be invited by the company you hold options in to exercise your vested options. If you are not invited, please contact the company and express your interest to exercise your options.
If you have been invited, you will receive an email invitation similar to the one below:
Before you can exercise your option grant, you will need to verify your identity. You can read how to do this here.
Once you have verified your identity, you will be able to exercise your options by clicking on "Exercise Option Grant" (you can find this on your Portfolio page).
Enter the number of options you wish to exercise.
Once the number of options you wish to exercise is entered and you click the green "Exercise" button. You will need to sign a "Notice of Exercise".
After this is signed, you will need to add your bank account details where you will be transferring the exercise cost from. Go to "Add Bank Account" button and enter bank account details.
The 'Exercise Summary' details the total cost of the exercise.
After you have clicked "Done", you will be brought back to the portfolio page. On this page please click on "Fund Exercise".
You will then need to confirm the transfer information and you will need to transfer money to the escrow account outside of Capdesk via bank transfer. After this, there are no further actions that need to be undertaken.
Your transfer will be processed (2-3 working days) and once payment has arrived in the escrow account, you will be notified by Shieldpay.
The company that you have exercised your options in will need to approve the exercise. Once this is done, we will let you know that your shares are issued.
