If you would like to enhance your privacy settings on your Capdesk account, enable the Two-Factor Authentication. This will mean that instead of solely requiring your username and password to log in to your Capdesk account, a verification code will also be required.
The verification code will be sent to your mobile number so you will need to provide this information before you can enable two-factor authentication.
To provide your mobile number, click on your Profile (man) Icon -> Legal Identity.
Proceed to fill out your personal details, it is mandatory that you state the country that you belong to and your mobile phone number. Capdesk sends the authentication code to this number, so please make sure that you have the phone at your side. Once these details have been entered, click 'Save'.
Once saved, click Preferences (under User Settings on your User Dashboard) and then tick 'Enable Two-Factor Authentication'. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Save'.
You will then be asked to send an authentication code to your mobile phone. Please ensure that the number is correct, if it is not, click cancel and go back to 'Legal Identity' to change it. If it is correct, click 'Send Code'.
Once you have received a text message stating the authentication code, enter the code and click 'Verify Code'.
If you do not receive the code, click 'Resend Code', if after a while the code has still not been sent then please contact support.
Additionally, if you received the code but take too long to verify it, the code will expire. In this case, simply resend the code to your phone and verify the new code.
Once the code has been verified, the Two-Factor Authentication will be saved to your profile.
Going forward, there will now be two stages to log in to your Capdesk account. Firstly, you will have to enter your email address and password and secondly, you will have to enter the unique authentication code that is sent to your phone.
