To make tracking your investments easier, you can add other investments on Capdesk, even if they company is not currently using Capdesk.
On Capdesk, you can add investments as a:
To begin, click the Capdesk logo on the top left hand side of the website (see below in red) and then select the 'Portfolio' tab on the left. Click on the green "Add Investment" button on your right hand side.
For this option, start by choosing your name from the "Invest As", drop down menu seen below, and then click on "Next".
Now, you'll need to select the country in which your investment company is based, and enter its registration number under the relevant field. When you're ready, click on "Next".
At this point, you'll be able to add the rest of the details of your investment (see fields depicted below). When you are done, click "Finish".
Adding investments through a holding company is much the same as adding a personal investment. Therefore, for this option you'll need to follow the same steps outlined above but you'll need to select the holding company rather than your own name from the "Invest As" drop down menu shown at the very beginning.
To add an investment through a holding company that's not yet on Capdesk, leave the "Invest As" drop down menu blank, and click "Exit and Register Holding Company" at the bottom instead.
This will bring you to the following page, where you can create and edit the details of the holding company. When you're done, click "Create Company".
After creating the company, you'll be directed back to the "Invest As" drop down menu where you can simply follow the same steps suggested in sections 1 and 2.
